The goal of the game is to clear a rectangular grid that hides “mines” or explosives without triggering any of them, utilizing hints about the quantity of neighboring mines in each cell. If a cell containing a mine is uncovered, the player loses the game. If no mine is revealed, a number is displayed in the cell, signifying how many adjacent cells have mines; if no mines are nearby, the cell becomes empty, and all adjacent cells will be revealed recursively. The player utilizes this information to infer the contents of other cells and can either safely uncover each cell or identify the cell as potentially containing a mine.
